I worked as an engineer at Compaq/Hewlett-Packard/Hewlett Packard Enterprise from 1994 through 2020. At the beginning of 2021 I moved to the Microchip Data Center Solutions group to work as an applications engineer.

Projects I have designed or helped design include several generations of RAID controllers, and Fibre Channel connected Storage Area Network (SAN) systems, and high density and industrial server systems (HP/HPE Moonshot and HPE Edgeline). I now help other engineers design Microchip RAID-on-Chip processors and SAS expanders into their server projects.

In 1999 I married Kim Engel, and we have lived in Houston since then.

Hobbies I enjoyed BC (before children) include choral performance, live classical music recording, and audio equipment construction (see my projects page).
